Meadowlark Heights - Assisted Living

Assisted living is designed to provide services, that are less than those provided to residents in nursing facilities. It is an alternative for seniors who need assistance but who do not require heavy medical and nursing care. The principles of assisted living promote the privacy, well being, independence, and autonomy of the individual.

Meadowlark Heights accepts both private and Medicaid payment clients. There are twelve units total, ten studio units and two one-bedroom units. Each unit features personalized heating and cooling, ceiling fan, large closet, and spacious bathroom with linen storage and a walk-in shower. Microwave ovens and a refrigerator are provided in each kitchenette. Curtain rods and mini-blinds are provided on the windows. The units are unfurnished allowing you to bring your own furniture to personalize your apartment as your own. The living and bedroom areas of the units are carpeted with a neutral color and the walls are painted off-white. The trim and cupboards are oak. The bathroom and kitchenette area have vinyl floor covering.

As part of our array of services, laundry will be done weekly on a scheduled basis, however, a laundry room with two washers and dryers are available for your use if you choose. An ironing board and iron are available in the laundry room for tenant use. We also provide 30 minutes per week of light housekeeping.  In addition to walk-in showers in each unit, the facility features a whirlpool bath. As part of our services to you, a weekly whirlpool bath is included in the monthly rate.

The building has a fully equipped beauty shop and you can make arrangements with our beautician to have your hair done. Telephone and Cable TV hookups are in each room. Arrangements for telephone service are to be made directly between you and the telephone company. Cable TV is available through Meadowlark Heights. All other utilities, including electricity, heat, air conditioning, trash collection, and water are included in the monthly rent. An activity room adjacent to the dining room includes a full kitchen with sink, refrigerator, and stove and is available for family/social events. Three meals a day are included in the monthly rent and will be served in the dining room. Room service for a short-term recuperative period is also available. Three snacks per day are included.
